We will only collect from you the minimum data necessary for us to provide the services you request, that is to say your contact details and details of the transaction you are looking to perform. Any data we do collect will passed to one or more of our partners (e.g. solicitors/licensed conveyancers) to assist them with the provision of legal services to you. We will only pass your data to our partners at your request. You are deemed to have made such a request if you enter your data in the relevant screen and click “Please submit my details to this conveyancer”.

We will retain your data, in electronic format only, for not more than 3 calendar months, after which it will be destroyed. This is necessary to assist us in correctly invoicing our partners. No paper copy of your data will be made by us. Our partners may retain your data for longer periods and may make paper copies.

On the date 3 calendar months from any date on which you submit your details we will forward to you via e-mail a short, optional, questionnaire to request some feedback on the performance of your chosen conveyancer. This will help us to improve the quality of the service we offer. The information we request on this questionnaire will be retained but will not include any personal data.

We will not supply your data to any person or organisation other than as outlined above unless you expressly request us to do so or we are obliged to do so by law.

Freeconveyancingadvice.co.uk will take reasonable steps to check that any of our partners are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office however we have no control over our partners' use of your data and accept no liability for their actions.

In accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 Freeconveyancingadvice.co.uk is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office.

Terms and Conditions of Use

This referral service complies with rule 9 of the Solicitors Code of Conduct, which regulates the relationships between referrers (i.e. us) and solicitors. All of our partners to whom we refer you for legal advice are solicitors or licensed conveyancers and are impartial. We will have no influence or control over their conduct or their relationships with you.

You are free at any time to dis-instruct any partner to whom we refer you and to instruct another solicitor or licensed conveyancer of your choosing.

Under rule 9 of the Solicitors Code of Conduct solicitors are required to enter into a formal written agreement with introducing sources such as Freeconveyancingadvice.co.uk. All of our partners, whether solicitors or licensed conveyancers, have entered into such an agreement with us. Under this agreement we will charge each conveyancer to whom you submit your details a fee in the sum of £5.

Whilst our partners will use their reasonable endeavours to ensure the quotes provided via Freeconveyancingadvice.co.uk are kept accurate and up to date, they are not binding in any way on us or our partners.

Should you choose to instruct a conveyancer via this service the contract will be between you and the conveyancer. No contract will be created between you and Freeconveyancingadvice.co.uk and we accept no liability, whether in contract or otherwise for the service provided to you by the conveyancer.

To the extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for any loss which may arise as a result of reliance on the information given on, or products or services provided by, Freeconveyancingadvice.co.uk or by any third party including our partners or those advertising products or services on Freeconveyancingadvice.co.uk.
